This policy explains which cookies and similar records the CSRON platform (the "Platform") places in your browser, why it uses them and how you can manage them. For personal data processed through cookies the Privacy Notice (KVKK) applies.
1. Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text record a site places in your browser and that is sent back with later requests. Local storage is a record area that stays only in your browser and is never sent to the server. The Platform uses both solely to run the service and remember your preferences.
2. Cookies We Use
The full list of cookies the Platform sets is below. All belong to the Platform’s own domain.
| Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie: authenticates your session and keeps it open. | Essential | For the session; deleted on sign-out |
| Single active session cookie: enforces the single active session rule; signing in from a new device closes the previous one. Inaccessible to browser scripts. | Essential | 30 days |
| Auditor view cookie: holds the session of an auditor viewing documents through an access code. Set only in that flow; inaccessible to browser scripts. | Essential | 24 hours |
| Language preference cookie: remembers your interface language (Turkish/English). | Functional | 1 year |
Without the essential cookies you cannot sign in, view documents or keep your account secure; no consent is sought for them (KVKK art. 5/2-c and f). The functional cookie only remembers a preference; deleting it does not break the Platform, the language simply returns to the default.
3. Browser Local Storage
The following records stay only in your browser and are not sent to the server:
- Applying your language preference as soon as the page loads
- Your choice in the cookie bar and its date, so the bar does not reappear
- Whether the side panel in the legal basis tool is open or closed
- The production facility and standard you last chose in the document checklist and policy generator
While you browse without signing in, two more records are kept until you close the browser tab:
- Visit identifier: A randomly generated identifier. It is sent to the server together with the name of the page you view so that the number of visitors and viewed pages can be counted. It is not linked to your name, email address or any identity on another site.
- Arrival source: The domain name of the site that referred you on your first arrival (the rest of the address is not taken) and any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). It is sent to the server only if you chose "Accept all" in the cookie bar, and is used to measure through which promotional channel you found the Platform.
Visit records sent to the server are deleted after 90 days. You can delete these records at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
4. What We Do Not Use
- No third-party analytics tools, heat maps or screen and session recording; visits are counted on the Platform’s own server with the records described in section 3.
- No advertising, retargeting or marketing cookies.
- No social media plug-ins, embedded video or third-party trackers.
- No third-party cookies; every cookie belongs to the Platform’s own domain.
External links on the Platform (WhatsApp, official legislation sources, standard owners’ sites) take you to another site; those sites’ cookie practices are governed by their own policies.
5. Your Cookie Choice
The cookie bar shown on your first visit offers "Accept all" and "Essential only". The Platform uses no optional cookies; the only difference between the two choices is whether the arrival source described in section 3 is sent to the server. If you choose "Essential only" or do not answer the bar, the arrival source is not sent. Your choice and its date are saved in your browser; to change it, clear your browser’s site data and the bar appears again on your next visit. If an optional cookie is added in the future, this policy will be updated and your choice will be asked again.
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies you cannot sign in or view documents. Typical paths: Chrome "Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data"; Safari "Settings → Privacy"; Firefox "Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data"; Edge "Settings → Cookies and site permissions".
7. Changes and Contact
This page is updated whenever a new cookie or local record is added; the effective date appears at the top and bottom of the page.
